Vidovići 9 - Guestbook

We have been spending a week or two of our holidays at Sister Homes in Vidovici for four years. Each time this place is just as wonderful for us :)) and Natasza and Ingrid are always hospitable and willing to help. This year we lived in the house No 9 for the first time. An ideal house for a family of four. Beautifully decorated with every detail refined. The house is equipped with all the equipment you may need, so you don't have to bring anything with you (washing machine, dishwasher, iron, all necessary kitchen equipment). On the ground floor there is a spacious living room with a place to relax, as well as a kitchen and dining room. There are two bedrooms on the first floor, one on the mezzanine - the children had a lot of fun sleeping there. From the small terrace and bedroom window there is a wonderful view of the sea. Thanks to air conditioning, it is pleasantly cool inside even in very hot weather. We will definitely come back there again.

A small, unexpected break out of our work (we are architects) led us to the idea to make a roadtrip somewhere for a short time. Croatia is our favourite destination and after a short research we found a beautiful place on Cres on your website.

The special "Sister's House" Vidovici 9 enchanted us.

My partner summarized the point in a few words:

"Space, harmony, time, elegance .... quiet peace at Vidovich, and the sisters! Oh my god, these owners are just great!

We have to go back. And yes, we recommend for 100%. Seriously!

Amazing Jaw dropping place, host, and view!

The white stone house is idyllic nestled in the dry rocky hills over looking the Adriatic sea.

Reasons to stay:

First, the house is personal, spacious, and spotless, with details of antiques and clean lines, yet refreshingly modern. The open lay out and high end amenities, down to the books and sheets were thoughtfully planned out and exceeded our expectations. By the house is a traditional tiny chapel and historical stone fences among the rough terrain. Just getting to the house is an adventure. We had the feeling of privacy and timelessness with its serpentine road up from the main street. There is also an open air terrace we used for family gatherings and feasts. Here we listened to ambient music or the cicadas, felt the Bora/ Maestral North breeze and breath taking views. A few times at night we star gazed by the fire pit. Quite memorable and inspiring experience…

Second, our host Natasha was always cheerful, gracious, and attentive to our needs. She even surprised us with local cheese and bread. Her twin sister Ingrid and brother in law were equally hospitable and understanding with a wealth of stories. Both ladies are very professional and creative, putting their heart into their homes. All along, we felt like they really cared about us.

Third, the island Cres is set aside from the others for nature lovers with hidden beach coves, wrinkled stoney cliffs, glittering olive groves, and sheep pastures. It prides itself as more secluded than other big islands. It is an eco-island which recycles and is harmonious with nature. Furthermore, it is home where the massive Condor/ Griffin vultures soar. Historically, people say Jason and the Golden Fleece adventures took place here and more recently the bronze athletic Apoxymenos was discovered.

To conclude, we highly recommend staying and already encouraged our friends to come. Thank you Natasha and family for sharing your home, heart, and vision.

The house is absolutely beautiful – even better than on the pictures. The attention to detail is really remarkable. It is the perfect place to relax, to enjoy stunning sea views and to go on extensive walks across the hills where you will be greeted by freely roaming sheep. The very kind owners have great knowledge of the region and provide excellent tips and suggestions. We hope to come back soon.

I had a wonderful time in Vidovici thanks to Nataša and her family. The house was everything I was looking for, somewhere quiet and beautiful to work and explore the stunning coast of Croatia. Every detail was considered and every comfort offered. I would return in a heartbeat.
